These went to an average of almost 28,000 seniors every month at 146 sites throughout Los Angeles County. Each kit weighs approximately 30 pounds and contains mostly shelf-stable staples such as milk, beans, grains and canned fruits and vegetables. We are proud to facilitate the largest CSFP in the country and eternally grateful for the dedicated volunteers who make this work possible. CSFP is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) program which provides monthly food kits to seniors. Click here for Patricia ‘s story. St. John House is home to 25 men and provides support and a safe space for men to stay while they transition into permanent housing. St. John House, located in front of The Community Kitchen and within walking distance of all necessary downtown amenities, allows for the residents to have access to everything they may need in the downtown area. St. John House makes sure that its residents are taken care of in many ways, namely, by being staffed 23 hours per day and making sure that none of its residents ever have to be out on the street. The shelter staff are a group of dedicated individuals who all come from different backgrounds and have had different experiences, but who all ma
